1 Review on “Philosophy and the spiritual life”
The style of the book is academic, but the content is quite low quality, shallow. At page 29 the author writes “If we take the singing of Psalms as an example, the sentences recited are typically not, or not very often, claims about the truth of certain religious doctrines, or even assertions of the existence of God”. It would have taken just 10 minutes to do a quick examination of the 150 Psalms and see that there are no Psalms that don’t mention God explicitly.
